Our cooking system FlashGRILL has been awarded with the SMART Label 2015, an important award assigned to highly innovative technological products by POLI. Design – Consorzio del Politecnico di Milano and Host – Fiera Milano, as a part of the International Hospitality Exhibition Host 2015 which will take place in Milan from the 23rd to 27th of October 2015.
The award is given to products of the Ho.Re.Ca. sector whose innovation in terms of functionality, ethics, environmental and social impact is recognised as noteworthy, according to the three following criteria:
• efficiency of the product or service functions;
• efficacy of the product or service performances;
• innovativeness of the technology, of its usability and advantages it gives.
The SMART Label 2015 award confers a unique and internationally renowned prestige: POLI.design is an educational institution whose post-graduate courses, design promotion activities and efforts to bridge the university to the productive sector are esteemed worldwide.
The research quality of POLI.design is granted by the experience and the competence of the Politecnico di Milano, one of the most important Italian universities, by the Scuola del Design del Politecnico di MilanoPolitecnico di Milano and by the Dipartimento di Design. Together, these three insitutions form the Sistema Design del Politecnico, one of the most advanced and important research institution in the world.
The solid link with the productive sector is constituted by the important business associations involved in the project: ADI Italian Industrial Design Association, AIAP Italian Design and Visual Communication Association, AIMAT Italian Material Engineering Association, AIPI Italian Interior Designers Association. POLI.design is also part of BEDA, Burea of European Design Associations.
